Section 21
A medical officer before whom a child is presented under subsection 20(1), (1A) or (4) —
(a)
shall conduct or cause to be conducted an examination of the child;
(b)
may, in examining the child and if so authorized by a
Protector or police officer, administer or cause to be administered such procedures and tests as may be necessary to diagnose the child’s condition; and
(c)
may provide or cause to be provided such treatment as he considers necessary as a result of the diagnosis.
