Section 59

of JUVENILE COURTS ACT 1947

Section 59

Any child who escapes or is removed from a place of detention without lawful authority—

(a)

may be arrested without a warrant by any probation officer or police officer and be brought back to the place of detention; and

(b)

shall be detained in the place of detention for the unexpired residue of his term of detention under the order originally issued by the Court For Children.
