(2)
Any person who, on being required by an Inspector or police officer to give information under this section, refuses to comply with such requirement or furnishes as true any information which he knows or has reason to believe to be false, shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable to a fine not exceeding ten thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding twelve months or to both.
(3)
Where any information furnished by a person to an Inspector or police officer is proved to be untrue or incorrect in whole or in part, it shall be no defence to allege that the information or any part of the information was misinterpreted, or furnished inadvertently or without criminal or fraudulent intent.
