(2)

Any licensee who fails to surrender his licence as required under subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable to a fine not exceeding twenty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding twelve months or to both.

(3)

A licensee may surrender his licence on his own initiative by forwarding the licence to the Registrar with a written notice of the surrender of the licence.

(4)

The surrender of the licence shall take effect fourteen days from the date the Registrar receives the licence and the written notice or such other date as may be specified by the Registrar.

(5)

Upon the surrender of the licence under this section, the

Registrar shall not refund any fees paid by the licensee under subsections 5B(3) and 5E(4).
