Section 62

In this Part unless the context otherwise requires—

“East Malaysian State” means the State of Sabah or Sarawak, as the case may require, and “East Malaysian States” shall be construed accordingly;

“Director” means the Director of Immigration, Sabah, or the

Director of Immigration, Sarawak, as the case may require;

“State Authority”, for any purpose relating to an East Malaysian

State, means the Chief Minister of the State or such person holding office in the State as the Chief Minister may designate for the purpose by notification in the State Gazette.
