In the event of a general failure of the padi crop due to natural disaster within the State, the Menteri Besar or Chief

Minister shall on the advice of the State Agricultural Officer declare in the Gazette defining the extent of failure of the crop and boundaries of the affected area and shall state the percentage of the reduction of rent allowed to be paid by the tenant to the landlord.
