Section 15

(2)

An enforcement officer and any other officer appointed under subsection (1) shall have and may exercise and perform the following functions for the purposes of this Act:

(a)

to enter upon and at all reasonable times have free access to any land in the State, and to make enquiries and to do or cause to be done all things necessary and to investigate cases of non-compliance with this Act;

(b)

to prosecute offenders under this Act;

(c)

to have access to all records in any Land Office or Land

Registry or of the Registrar; and

(d)

to carry out all other powers conferred upon him by this

Act and all such powers ancillary or incidental thereto as may be reasonably necessary.

(3)

The Chief Enforcement Officer shall—

(a)

be responsible to the Minister for the enforcement and due administration within the State of this Act; and

(b)

subject to the direction of the Minister, exercise general control and supervision over enforcement officers, assistant enforcement officers and other officers appointed under subsection (1).

(4)

Every officer appointed under subsection (1) shall carry out and enforce any decision or order made by the Committee or the Tribunal under this Act.

(5)

Every Penghulu or police officer shall have all the powers of an enforcement officer and in exercising such powers he shall be subject to such directions as may be given or such restrictions as may be imposed by the Minister.
