(2)
Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), the power of the Minister to give directions under subsection (1)
shall extend to the giving of directions—
(a)
as to the disposal of capital assets; and
(b)
as to the application of the proceeds of such disposal.
Power of Minister to delegate 29a. (1) The Minister may, subject to such conditions, limitations or restrictions as he may specify, delegate to the Board the exercise, discharge or performance of any of his powers, duties or functions under this Act.
(2)
A delegation under this section—
(a)
may be revoked at any time by the Minister; and
(b)
shall not prevent the Minister from himself exercising, discharging or performing such delegated powers, duties or functions in any case where it appears to him expedient to do so.
Convocation 29b. (1) A Convocation for the conferment of degrees, diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions shall be held annually, or as often as the Chancellor may direct, on such date as may be approved by the Chancellor.
(2)
In the absence of the Chancellor or of a Pro-Chancellor authorized for this purpose by the Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor shall preside over a Convocation.
