(2)
Any payment of compound under this section shall be made at the place specified in the notice under section 32B and within the period as specified in such notice or, in the case where the extension of period is given, within such period.
(3)
If an offence has been compounded under subsection (1)—

(a)
no prosecution shall be instituted after that in respect of the offence against the person to whom the offer to compound was made; and
(b)
any food or appliance seized shall be forfeited, destroyed or returned to that person, as the Director or the authorized officer deems fit after taking into consideration the nature of the offence and the condition of the food or appliance, and no further proceedings shall be taken in respect of the food.
(4)
All sums of money received by the Director or the authorized officer under this section shall be paid into and form part of the
Federal Consolidated Fund.
