(2)
Except as provided in subsection (1), no person shall remove from any printing, premises, or cause, directly or by his negligence, or permit to be so removed, any waste material on which there is printed or there appears any Qur’anic Verse.
(3)
Any person who contravenes or fails to comply with the provision of subsection (1) or (2) commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding **fifty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to both.
