(2)
Any person who fails to comply with any reasonable signal of a police officer in uniform or a road transport officer in uniform requiring such person or vehicle to stop before reaching any such barrier or attempts to cross or knock any such barrier, shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding two thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.

No officer shall be liable for any loss, injury or damage caused to any person or property consequent upon his taking the steps mentioned in subsection (1).
