(2)

If at any time it appears to the Medical Officer of Health or a Medical Officer that an employee employed on any estate is suffering from any infectious disease or that it is otherwise necessary in the interest of public health or of the health of any other employee employed on the estate that he be removed and placed under medical supervision, it shall be lawful for the Medical Officer of Health or

Medical Officer to cause such employee to be removed to such place as he may direct and there to be detained until discharged by order in writing of the Medical Officer of Health or a Medical Officer.
