(2)
Where no appointment of the chief executive officer is made under subsection (1), the Chairman shall exercise the duties of the chief executive officer and shall be known as the Executive Chairman and any remuneration or allowance paid shall be determined by the
Minister.
(3)
The Board shall appoint such number of other officers or servants, as it considers necessary for the efficient conduct of the business of the Board, on such terms and conditions as may be determined by the Board, who may be designated by any name as determined by the Board.
(4)
The chief executive officer shall, subject to the direction of the
Board on matters of policy, be charged with the day to day

administration and management of the affairs of the Board and the administrative control of its officers and servants.
(5)
Subject to sections 31 and 33, it shall be the duty of the Board to appoint, confirm, emplace on the permanent or pensionable establishment, promote, transfer and exercise disciplinary control over its officers and servants.
(6)
The Board may delegate to any member of the Board, officer or to any committee, comprising of such members or officers or both such members and officers, appointed by it, any of its functions under subsection (5) and that member, officer or committee shall exercise those functions under the direction and control of the Board.
