Section 35

of *EMPLOYEES PROVIDENT FUND ACT 1991

Section 35

Subject to any regulations made under section 71, an Inspector or an officer vested with the powers of an Inspector may at any reasonable time—

(a)

enter any premises or place where persons are believed to be engaged as employees;

(b)

make such examination and inquiry as may be necessary for ascertaining whether the provisions of this Act or the regulations or rules made thereunder are being or have been complied with in any such premises or place;

(c)

examine either alone or in the presence of any other person with respect to any matters under this Act on which he may reasonably require information every person who he has reason to believe can give information respecting the subject matter of the inquiry, and require every such person to be examined and for the purposes of such examination may summon any such person to attend at the time and place specified in such summons; and

(d)

exercise such other powers as may be necessary for carrying this Act into effect.
