Section 159

On appeal against acquittal, accused may be arrested

Where an appeal is presented against an acquittal, the Syariah

Appeal Court may issue a warrant directing the accused to be arrested and brought before it and may remand him to prison pending the disposal of the appeal or admit him to bail.
