Section 124

If a Langkawi company fails to pay the annual fee referred to in subsection (1) on or before the expiration of a period of six months from the annual fee payment date, then there shall be payable in addition to the annual fee an amount equivalent to fifty per cent of the annual fee.

Langkawi International Yachting Companies

If a Langkawi company fails to pay the annual fee and the additional amount specified in subsection (2) on or before the expiration of a period of one month from the date of expiration of the period of six months specified in subsection (2), the

Registrar may after the expiration of the period of one month send to the secretary of the Langkawi company a written notice that the name of the Langkawi company shall be struck off the register if the annual fee and the amount specified in subsection

are not paid within one month from the date of the notice or such extended period as may be allowed by the Registrar.

If the Langkawi company fails to pay the annual fee and the additional amount specified in subsection (2) within one month from the date of the notice or the extended period as may be allowed by the Registrar under subsection (3), the Registrar may strike the name of the Langkawi company off the register.

Notwithstanding that the name of a Langkawi company has been struck off the register under this section, the Langkawi company shall remain liable for all claims, debts, liabilities and obligations of the Langkawi company, and the striking off shall not affect the liability of any of its members, directors, officers or agents under this Act or any other law.

The striking off of the name of a Langkawi company from the register under this section shall not be affected by any failure on the part of the Registrar to serve a notice on the secretary or to publish a notice in the Gazette.

Subsections (2) to (5) do not apply to a Langkawi company in the process of being wound up and dissolved.
