(a)

under the repealed legislations; or

(b)

under the relevant State water supply enactments,

shall continue to be authorized under this Act and shall only be effective for a period of three months after the appointed date or such other period as may be extended by the Commission if the licence or permit is registered with the Commission within such period or extended period.

(2)

Nothing in this section shall be construed to extend the term or duration of a licence or permit specified in subsection (1)

beyond the date of its expiry.

(3)

Notwithstanding subsection (1), a licence or permit registered under subsection (1) shall continue to have effect under this Act until—

(a)

its expiry; or

(b)

for a period of two years or such other period as may be extended by the Commission after the appointed date, whichever is the earlier, unless the holder of the registered licence or permit has been granted a licence or permit under this Act.

(4)

The authorization granted to a person holding a licence or permit under subsection (1) shall lapse if he fails to register with the Commission within three months or the extended period after the appointed date.

Agreements stipulated in the Schedule
