(2)

Every recommendation by the Director General for a witness to be included in the Programme, shall be made to the Attorney

General.

(3)

The Attorney General, upon receiving the recommendation referred to in subsection (1), shall decide whether or not to include a witness in the Programme.

(4)

If any person is aggrieved by the decision of the Attorney

General under subsection (3), he may appeal in writing to the

Minister within fourteen days from the date of receipt of the decision.

(5)

Where an appeal is made under subsection (4)—

(a)

the Attorney General shall submit his grounds of decision together with the recommendation of the Director General under subsection (1) to the Minister; and

(b)

the protection and assistance to the witness, if provided by the Director General under subsection 7(4), shall continue until the decision on the appeal is made by the Minister.

(6)

The Minister shall, upon receipt of an appeal under subsection (4), make a decision on the appeal.
