Taking of photographs and finger impressions
(2)
Any person who, being legally bound under subsection (1)
to submit to the taking of his photographs or finger impressions, refuses or fails to submit thereto on demand commits an offence and shall be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to a fine not exceeding two thousand ringgit or to both.
(3)
Whenever—
(a)
any person whose photograph and finger impressions have been taken under this section is released under section 4, 6 or 12; or
(b)
the name of any person is removed from the Register under section 23, the officer in charge of the case shall forthwith notify the Registrar of the release or removal, and the Registrar shall, upon the application of the person, deliver to that person the sheet upon which his finger impressions have been made, together with the negative and all copies of any photograph taken of him and forwarded to the Registrar under this section.
