(2)
Where the loss earning capacity has been assessed by the medical assessor or the Appellate Medical Board at more than twenty per cent, a self-employed insured person may opt for the commutation of one-fifth of the daily benefit payable for a lump sum and to receive the balance as periodical payments, in the manner as prescribed.

For the purposes of subsections (1) and (2), where a self-employed insured person has multiple assessment of loss of earning capacity due to two or more successive accidents, the aggregate percentage of loss of earning capacity for commutation shall not be more than twenty per cent.
