Section 68

Section 68

(1)

The Director General may, in writing, direct any Inspector to exercise his powers and perform his functions conferred by the

Employees’ Social Security Act 1969 for carrying into effect the purposes of this Act.

(2)

The Inspector shall have all the powers of a police officer of whatever rank as provided for under the Criminal Procedure Code

[Act 593], except the power to arrest without warrant, in relation to enforcement, inspection and investigation, and such powers shall be in addition to the powers conferred by this Act and not in derogation thereof.

(3)

The Inspector may examine any person if the Inspector has reasonable grounds to believe that the person has relevant information or document relating to any self-employment activity.

(4)

The Director General and Deputy Directors General shall have all the powers of the Inspector under this Act or any regulations made under this Act.
