(2)

The Chief Public Defender shall, before exercising any of the powers under paragraph 10(c), (d) or (e), advise the Director

General to make a recommendation to the Minister to establish a disciplinary committee to conduct disciplinary proceedings against any solicitor according to regulations prescribed by the Minister.

(3)

Any solicitor subject to disciplinary proceedings under this section shall be given the opportunity to show cause.

(4)

The Director General or Chief Public Defender, as the case may be, shall implement any decision made by the disciplinary committee.

(5)

Any solicitor who is aggrieved by a decision of the Minister or any disciplinary committee established under subsection (1)

or (2) may apply to the High Court for a judicial review of such decision.

Legal aid or public defence services cannot be terminated without permission
