Section 33

The application for legal aid under subsection (1) shall be deemed to be a new legal aid application.

Sections 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 shall apply mutatis mutandis to an application for legal aid under this section.

The appeal referred to under subsection (1) shall be made with the approval of the Director General subject to any conditions as may be determined by the Director General.

Notwithstanding subsection (4), for the purpose of complying with rules regarding the time period prescribed for the filing of an appeal, a notice of appeal may be filed in advance without the approval of the Director General.

A notice of appeal filed by the aided person may be proceeded with on his own even though his application for a legal aid is not approved by the Director General.
