Preamble
- Pada menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh perenggan 102(t) Akta Kerajaan Tempatan 1976 [Akta 171], Majlis Bandaraya Kuala Trengganu membuat dan menurut seksyen 103 Akta tersebut, Pihak Berkuasa Negeri dengan ini mengesahkan undang-undang kecil yang berikut: Nama, pemakaian dan permulaan kuat kuasa

Undang-undang kecil ini bolehlah dinamakan Undang-Undang Kecil
(Mengkompaun Kesalahan-Kesalahan) Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Trengganu
(Pindaan) 2021 dan hendaklah terpakai bagi kawasan Majlis Bandaraya Kuala
Terengganu.
(2)
Undang-Undang Kecil ini hendaklah mula berkuat kuasa pada tarikh ianya disiarkan dalam Warta.

Undang-Undang Kecil (Mengkompaun Kesalahan-kesalahan) Majlis Perbandaran
Kuala Trengganu, 1979 [Tr.P.U. 1/1980] yang disebut “Undang-Undang Kecil ibu”
dalam Undang-Undang Kecil ini, dipinda dalam undang-undang kecil 1 dengan menggantikan perkataan “Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Trengganu” dengan perkataan “Majlis Bandaraya Kuala Terengganu”.

Pindaan am
Perbandaran Kuala Trengganu” di mana-mana jua terdapat dengan perkataan “Majlis
Bandaraya Kuala Terengganu”.

Pindaan undang-undang kecil 3
Undang-Undang Kecil ibu dipinda dengan menggantikan perenggan 3(a) dengan perenggan yang berikut:
“3. (a) Jumlah wang yang dikehendaki dipungut bagi mengkompaun suatu kesalahan tidak boleh lebih daripada lima puluh peratus daripada denda maksimum yang dengannya kesalahan itu boleh dihukum oleh Akta atau undang-undang kecil yang dibuat di bawahnya.”
Diperbuat oleh Majlis Bandaraya Kuala Terengganu dalam mesyuaratnya pada 25 Februari 2020 [MBKT 01/1-1/3/SK 1 BHG 12]

Preamble
- In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 102 (t) of the Local Government Act 1976 [Act 171], the Kuala Terengganu City Council makes and pursuant to section 103 of the Act, the State Authority hereby confirmed the following by-laws: Short title, application and commencement 1.
(1)
These by-laws may be cited as the Municipal Council Kuala Trengganu
(Compounding of Offences) (Amendment) By-Laws 2021 and shall apply to the
Kuala Terengganu City Council.
(2)
These By-Laws shall come into operation on the date of its publication in the Gazette.
Amendment of by-laws 1
Seksyen 2
The Municipal Council Kuala Trengganu (Compounding of Offences) By-Laws,
1979 [Tr.P.U.1/1980], which are referred to as the “principal By-Laws” in these
By-Laws, is amended in by-law 1 by substituting the words “Municipal Council
Kuala Trengganu” the words “Kuala Terengganu City Council”.
Seksyen 3
General amendment
The principal By-Laws are amended by substituting for the words “Municipal
Council Kuala Trengganu” wherever appearing the words “Kuala Terengganu City
Council”.

Seksyen 4
Amendment of by-laws 3
The principal By-Laws are amended by substituting for the paragraph 3 (a) the following paragraph:
“3. (a) The sum of money to be collected for compounding an offence shall not exceed fifty per centum of the maximum fine with which such offences is punishable under the Act or by-laws made thereunder.”.
