New section 86a
The principal Act is amended by inserting after section 86
the following section:
(a)
attempts to commit an offence under this Act;
(b)
does any act preparatory to, or in furtherance of, the commission of an offence under this Act;
(c)
abets or is engaged in a criminal conspiracy to commit
(as those terms are defined in the Penal Code) an offence under this Act, whether or not the offence is committed in consequence of it, commits an offence and shall be liable on conviction to the penalty provided for that offence.
(2)
A provision of this Act which refers to an offence under a specific provision of this Act shall be read as including a reference to an offence under subsection (1) in relation to the offence under that specific provision.”.
