Section 123 of the principal Act is amended—
(a)
by renumbering the existing section as subsection (1); and
(b)
by inserting after the renumbered subsection (1) the following subsection:
“(2) Without prejudice to the power of investigation under this Part, an Assistant Controller investigating any commission of an offence under this Act may exercise all or any of the powers in relation to police investigation in seizable cases provided by the Criminal
Procedure Code [Act 593].”.
