Subsection 5(1) of the principal Act is amended—
(a)
in paragraph (a)—
(i)
in subparagraph (ii), by substituting for the semi colon at the end of the subparagraph the words “; and”;
(ii)
by substituting for subparagraph (iii) the following subparagraph:
“(iii) determining adequate provision, installation, maintenance and regulation of fire-fighting equipment or fire safety installation in premises;”; and
(iii)
by deleting subparagraph (iv);
(b)
in paragraph (b), by deleting the word “and” at the end of the paragraph;
(c)
in paragraph (c), by substituting for the full stop at the end of the paragraph the words “; and”; and
(d)
by inserting after paragraph (c) the following paragraph:
“(d) providing training programmes in relation to matters pertaining to the duties of the Fire and Rescue Department as specified in paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) and any other matters under the responsibility of the Fire and
Rescue Department.”.
