Amendment of section 48
(a)
in the shoulder note, by inserting after the word “Sale”
the words “or disposal”;
(b)
by inserting after subsection (1) the following subsection:
“(1a) The Director General may dispose any fish of a kind inappropriate for sale seized under this Act, in such manner as he thinks fit, and any cost incurred for the disposal shall be borne by the owner.”; and
(c)
by substituting for subsection (2) the following subsection:
“(2) The Government of Malaysia shall not be liable to any person for—
(a)
any deterioration, howsoever caused, in the quality of any fish or other article; or
(b)
the disposal of any fish, seized under this Act.”.
