These Regulations may be cited as the Arms (Fees) Regulations 1978 and shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st July 1978.

Preamble
- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 50 of the Arms Act 21/60. 1960, the Minister makes the following regulations:
Seksyen 2
The fees specified in the Second Schedule to the Arms Act 1960 Fees are substituted by the following—
FEES
Seksyen 1
Licence to possess etc. arms and ammunition:
(i)
for protection of cultivation on own land $ 2.00
(iii)
for protection of cultivation and/or game hunting in Sabah and Sarawak only ... $ 2.00
(iv)
for commercial purposes, i.e. for security self/or property protection, etc. ... $ 50.00
(i)
licensed to serving and retired police officers and members of the armed forces ... Free
(ii)
licensed to any serving or retired public officers (other than police officers and members of the armed forces) and to any officers serving with any statutory body or local government ... $ 25.00
(d)
For each carbine, rifle of any calibre and any other type of arm (including smooth bore shotgun)—
(i)
licensed to serving and retired public officer, and to any officer serving with any statutory body or local government ... $ 25.00
(e)
For each rifle of any calibre, smooth bore shotgun, revolver or pistol licensed to any shooting club and is used solely for target shooting at an authorised shooting range ... $ 10.00
(f)
For each arm the property or a theatrical or circus company, which arm and ammunition are to be bona fide used in the performances to be given by such Company ... $ 20.00

Permit to carry and use arms and ammunition:
(i)
for protection of cultivation on own land ... $ 2.00
(iii)
for protection of cultivation and/or game hunting in Sabah and Sarawak only ... $ 2.00
(iv)
for commercial purposes, i.e. for security, self/or property protection, etc. ... $ 50.00
(i)
licensed to serving and retired police officers and members of the armed forces ... Free

(d)

(e)
(i)
for any or all rifles of any calibre licensed to the specified shooting club and are used solely for target shooting at an authorised shooting range provided the permit holder may carry and use only one rifle at anytime ... $ 10.00
(ii)
for any or all smooth bore shotguns licensed to the specified shooting club and are used solely for target shooting at an authorised shooting range provided the permit holder may carry and use only one smooth bore shotgun at anytime ... $ 10.00
(iii)
for any or all revolvers and pistols licensed to the specified shooting club and are used solely for target shooting at an authorised shooting range provided the permit holder may carry and use only one revolver or pistol at anytime ... $ 10.00

Fee chargeable from a bona fide traveller for an interim licence for each arm under section 14 (4) ... $ 20.00

Seksyen 18
The fee to be charged for any annual licence which is issued between the 1st January and the 30th June of the same year shall be one-half of the annual fee.".

- PADA menjalankan kuasa-kuasa yang diberi oleh Perintah Duti Kastam 1978, Ketua Pengarah Kastam mentakrifkan istilah-istilah "completely knocked down" dan "completely built-up" mengenai motosikal, autosikal dan basikal yang dipasangkan dengan motor tambahan yang terdapat di ruangan 2 bersetentangan dengan nombor-nombor kepala 87.09 200, 87.09 910, 87.09 921 dan 87.09 929 dalam Jadual Pertama kepada Perintah Duti Kastam 1978, seperti di dalam Jadual bersama ini. Takrif "completely knocked down" dan "completely built-up" seperti di dalam Jadual bersama ini hendaklah mula berkuatkuasa pada 1hb September 1978. P.U. (A) 247 yang disiarkan pada 14hb Ogos 1975 adalah dibatalkan.

- IN exercise of the powers conferred by the Customs Duties Order 1978, the Director-General of Customs defines the terms "completely knocked down" and "completely built-up" in respect of motor-cycles, autocycles and cycles fitted with an auxiliary motor, appearing in column 2 against the heading numbers 87.09 200, 87.09 910, 87.09 921 and 87.09 929 in the First Schedule to the Customs Duties Order 1978, as in the Schedule hereto. CUSTOMS DUTIES ORDER 1978 CUSTOMS ACT 1967 This definition of "completely knocked down" and "completely built up" as in the Schedule hereto shall be effective from the 1st September 1978. P.U. (A) 247 published on the 14th August 1975 is cancelled.
