Peratoran $ ^{2} $ ini boleh-lah di-namakan Peratoran $ ^{2} $ Perlu (Mengubahsuai Undang $ ^{2} $ Imigeresen), 1969, dan hendak-lah mula berkuatkuasa pada 15hb Julai, 1969.

Nama dan mula berkuatkuasa.

Bagi tempoh sa-lama keadaan dharurat maseh di-kuatkuasakan, peruntokan $ ^{2} $ Ordinan Imigeresen, 1959, hendak-lah berkuatkuasa terta'alok kapada pengubahsuaian $ ^{2} $ yang di-nyatakan dalam Jadual Pertama bersama ini.

ESSENTIAL (MODIFICATIONS OF IMMIGRATION LAWS) REGULATIONS, 1969

In exercise of the powers conferred under section 2 of the Emergency (Essential Powers) Ordinance No.1,1969,the Director of Operations designated under section 2 of the Emergency (Essential Powers) Ordinance No.2,1969, hereby makes the following regulations:

1. These regulations may be cited as the Essential (Modifications of Immigration Laws) Regulations, 1969, and shall come into force on 15th July, 1969.

2. For so long as the state of emergency continues to be in force, the provisions of the Immigration Ordinance, 1959, shall have effect subject to the modifications set out in the First Schedule hereto. d/Act.A.82/71

3. For so long as the State of emergency continues to be in force, the Immigration Regulations, 1963, shall have effect subject to the modifications set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

(Regulation 2)

MODIFICATIONS TO THE IMMIGRATION ORDINANCE, 1959

Modifications

... sub-section (1) of section 5 shall be read as if the words "or leave" have been inserted between the word "enter" and the words "the Federation".

8 (4) ... the last sentence in sub-section (4) of section 8 shall have no force or effect.

26 (1) ... sub-section (1) of section 26 shall be read as if the words "and shall, if required, produce particulars in such form as may be prescribed" have been inserted after the words "such post".

34 (1) ... sub-section (1) of section 34 shall be read as if the words "a period not exceeding thirty days" have been substituted for the words "such period as may be necessary for the purpose of making arrangements for his removal".

35 ... Section 35 shall be read as if the word "thirty" has been substituted for the word "fourteen".

SECOND SCHEDULE

(Regulation 3)

MODIFICATIONS TO THE IMMIGRATION REGULATIONS, 1963

Modifications

Regulation After 17 ...

The Immigration Regulations, 1963 shall be read as if the following new regulation 17A has been inserted immediately after regulation 17—

"17A. The Controller may require any holder of a Pass issued under these Regulations to give such further information as he may deem necessary".

... Paragraph (2) of regulation 30 shall be read as if—

Paragraph (a) of regulation 39 shall be read as if the words and figures "regulation 17A" and a comma have been inserted between the comma and the word "regulation", which appear in line three thereof.

Form 26.

Form 26 in Second Schedule to the Immigration Regulations, 1963 shall have effect as if it has been substituted therefor the following new Form 26:
