Section 34B
of KAEDAH-KAEDAH KENDERAAN MOTOR (PEMBINAAN DAN PENGGUNAAN) (PINDAAN) 2024
Seksyen 34B
(1)
A motor vehicle may be equipped with gas operated cooking appliances and the motor vehicle shall comply with the following conditions:
(a)
the space in which the appliances are installed is ventilated to ensure safe and effective operation;
(b)
an exhaust fan is installed to ensure the flow of air ventilation;
(c)
the installation of the appliances does not cause any hazard to the vehicle or to the contents of the vehicle;
(d)
the location of the appliances is accessible and does not obstruct the movement of persons;
(e)
the motor vehicle shall carry at least one portable dry powder fire extinguisher that complies with Malaysia Standard
1539:
Specification of
Portable Fire Extinguishers and weight less than 9kg;
(f)
the appliance shall only be used when the motor vehicle is stationary

and shall be turned off when not in use and while travelling or refueling;
and
(g)
all cooking appliances and the exhaust fan shall be checked regularly and maintained in good and working order.
(2)
The
Liquefied
Petroleum
Gas
(LPG)
container carried on the motor vehicle shall—
(a)
be placed accordingly and not in the same line with the generator;
(b)
not exceeding 25 kilograms per container;
(c)
be placed not less than 900
milimetres from the main switch board and the stove; and
(d)
comply with Malaysia Standard
