Seksyen 17
Seksyen 72 Ordinan dipinda—
(a)
dengan menggantikan subseksyen (1) dengan subseksyen yang berikut:
“(1) No child or young person shall be, or be required or permitted to be, engaged in any hazardous work, or any employment other than those specified in this section.”;
(b)
dengan memasukkan selepas subseksyen (1) subseksyen yang berikut:
“(1a) Notwithstanding subsection (1), a young person may be engaged in any hazardous work with personal supervision if he is—
(a)
under an apprenticeship contract; or
(b)
undergoing a vocational training.”;
(c)
dalam perenggan (2)(d), dengan memasukkan selepas perkataan “a written apprenticeship contract” perkataan
“approved by the Director with whom a copy of such contract has been filed”;

(d)
dengan memasukkan selepas subseksyen (2) subseksyen yang berikut:
“(2a) The age of admission to light work as specified in paragraph (a) of subsection (2) shall not be less than thirteen years.”;
(e)
dalam subseksyen (3)—
(i)
dengan memotong perenggan (b);
(ii)
dalam perenggan (c)—
(A)
dengan memotong perkataan “bars,”; dan
(B)
dengan memotong perkataan “, club”;
(iii)
dalam perenggan (e), dengan menggantikan noktah bertindih di hujung perenggan itu dengan noktah; dan
(iv)
dengan memotong proviso;
(f)
dengan menggantikan subseksyen (5) dengan subseksyen yang berikut:
“(5) No child or young person shall be, or be required or permitted to, be engaged in any employment contrary to the provisions of the Electricity Supply
Act 1990 [Act 447] or the Occupational Safety and
Health Act 1994 [Act 514].”; dan
(g)
dengan memasukkan selepas subseksyen (5) subseksyen yang berikut:
“(6) Notwithstanding subsections (2) and (3), no child or young person shall be, or be required or be permitted to be, engaged in any employment specified in the Second Schedule.
(7)
For the purposes of this section, “hazardous work”
means work specified in the Third Schedule.”.
