Pada menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh subseksyen 3(i) Enakmen Rizab Melayu, Menteri Besar Pahang mengisytiharkan tanah seluas 404.7 hektar (1000 ekar), Mukim Bebar, Daerah Pekan yang ditandakan di atas Pelan Ukur No. P.W. 3589 yang disimpan di Pejabat Pengarah Ukur dan Pemetaan Pahang menjadi Kawasan Simpanan Melayu yang dikenali sebagai Kawasan Simpanan Pekan.
