Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of the Control of Padi and Rice Act 1994 [Act 522], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation 1. These regulations may be cited as the Control of Padi and Rice (Licensing of Rice Mills) (Amendment) Regulations 2014. Amendment of regulation 4 2. The Control of Padi and Rice (Licensing of Rice Mills) Regulations 1996 [P.U. (A) 626/1996] which are referred to as the “principal Regulations” in these Regulations, are amended in subregulation 4(1) by deleting the words “, on application in writing,”. Amendment of Schedule 3. The principal Regulations are amended in the Schedule by substituting for Form A the following Form A: “FORM A (Regulation 4) Serial No.: CONTROL OF PADI AND RICE ACT 1994 CONTROL OF PADI AND RICE (LICENSING OF RICE MILLS) REGULATIONS 1996 RICE MILLS LICENCE (COMMERCIAL) Licence No. : Reference No. : 6 Licence is issued to: Name of business: Address of business premises: to operate a rice mill on a commercial basis at the business premises specified above. The licensee shall not keep or store padi or rice except at the business premises specified above and the store specified below: Address of Store Total Capacity/Hour (in metric tonnes) Maximum Storage Limit Permitted (in metric tonnes) Drying Milling Padi Rice The licensee shall not keep or store padi or rice in excess of the amount stated above.
