of PERATURAN-PERATURAN SURUHANJAYA PILIHANRAYA (PINDAAN JADUAL) 1991
Seksyen 2
The Schedule to the Election Commission Act 1957 is amended—
(a)
by substituting for paragraph 1 the following new paragraph 1:
“1. SALARY:Chairman...$4,536.00
Per monthDeputy Chairman...$3,906.00
Per monthFIXED ALLOWANCE:Members...$3,307.50
Per month
ACTING ALLOWANCE:
In the event of the Deputy Chairman or any member performing the functions of the Chairman or Deputy Chairman during a period exceeding twenty eight days, he shall be entitled to an acting allowance, equivalent to the difference between his salary or fixed allowance, as the case may be, and the salary of the position he is acting in";
(b)
by substituting for paragraph 2 the following paragraph 2:
"2. SUBSISTENCE ALLOWANCE:
(a)
on outstation duty for a period of twenty four hours and above:
West Malaysia, Thailand(from Phuket southwards)and KalimantunSubah and SurawakSingapore and Brunei DarussalamChairman and Deputy Chairman$85 for every 24 hours$115 for every 24 hours$135 for every 24 hoursMembers$60 for every 24 hours$80 for every 24 hours$95 for every 24 hours
(b)
on outstation duty for a period exceeding eight hours but less than twenty four hours the rates shall be half the rates in subparagraph (a)"; and
(c)
by substituting for paragraph 3 the following new paragraph 3:
"3. HOTEL ACCOMMODATION EXPENSES:
West Malaysia, Thailand (from Phuket southwards) and KulimuntanSabah and SarawakSingapore and Brunei DarussalamChairman and Deputy Chairmanwith receipt, actual hotel accommodation expenses in a single room shall be reimbursed$70 lodging allowance in lieu without receipt$75 lodging allowance in lieu without receipt$80 lodging allowance in lieu without receiptMemberswith receipts actual hotel accommodation expenses not exceeding $180 shall be reimbursed or $60 lodging allowance in lieu without receiptwith receipts actual hotel accommodation expenses not exceeding $200 shall be reimbursed or $66 lodging allowance in lieu without receiptwith receipts actual hotel accommodation expenses not exceeding $270 shall be reimbursed or $72 lodging allowance in lieu without receipt.”
