Semua kenderaan Kerajaan yang digunakan semata-mata untuk tugas ambulans, tugas melawan kebakaran, tugas polis atau tugas menyelamat termasuk kenderaan pasukan penyelamat dan Jabatan Pertahanan Awam dan kenderaan daripada Jabatan Penjara semasa menjalankan tugas mengiringi banduan.

5.

Semua kenderaan yang bukan kenderaan Kerajaan yang digunakan semata-mata untuk tugas ambulans, tugas melawan kebakaran dan tugas menyelamat.

6.

Semua motosikal beroda tiga atau beroda empat yang digunakan oleh mana-mana orang cacat.

7.

Kenderaan yang mempunyai dua gandar dan dua roda.”.

FEDERAL ROADS (PRIVATE MANAGEMENT) (COLLECTION OF TOLLS)

(EAST COAST EXPRESSWAY-PHASE 1) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2015

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Federal Roads

(Private Management) Act 1984 [Act 306], the Minister makes the following order:

Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Federal Roads (Private Management)

(Collection of Tolls) (East Coast Expressway-Phase 1) (Amendment) Order 2015.

(2)

This Order is deemed to have come into operation on 6 December 2011.

Substitution of paragraph 2 2.

The Federal Roads (Private Management) (Collection of Tolls) (East Coast

Expressway-Phase 1) Order 2007 [P.U. (A) 250/2007], which is referred to as the

“principal Order” in this Order, is amended by substituting for paragraph 2 the following paragraph:

“Authorization to collect tolls 2.

(1)

ANIH Berhad is authorized for the period from 6 December 2011

to 31 December 2032 to demand, collect and retain the appropriate tolls specified in column (2) of the First Schedule for the use in either direction of any part of the road known as the East Coast Expressway-Phase 1 commences from kilometre 76.10 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway at coordinates N-29660.52,

E-47978.07 of the State of Pahang Cassini Grid and ends at kilometre 250.60 at coordinates N-111006.35, E+45032.71 of the State of Terengganu Cassini Grid

(both distance as measured from the General Post Office Kuala Lumpur via the

Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway and the East Coast Expressway-Phase 1) including the Karak Interchange, Karak Entry/Exit Toll Plaza, Lanchang Interchange,

Lanchang Entry/Exit Toll Plaza, Temerloh Interchange, Temerloh Entry/Exit Toll

Plaza, Chenor Interchange, Chenor Entry/Exit Toll Plaza, Maran Interchange,

Maran Entry/Exit Toll Plaza, Sri Jaya Interchange, Sri Jaya Entry/Exit Toll Plaza,

Gambang Interchange, Gambang Entry/Exit Toll Plaza, Kuantan Interchange,

Kuantan Entry/Exit Toll Plaza, Jabor Interchange, Jabor Entry/Exit Toll Plaza, and its link roads by the classes of vehicles specified in column (2) of the First

Schedule.

The roads specified in subparagraph (1) for the use of which tolls are authorized to be demanded, collected and retained are shown on the map in the Second Schedule.”.

Amendment of paragraph 3 3.

Paragraph 3 of the principal Order is amended by substituting for subparagraph (1) the following subparagraph:

The toll referred to in subparagraph 2(1) shall be payable by the driver of a vehicle before entering the Karak Toll Plaza situated at coordinate

Amendment of paragraph 4 4.

Classes of Vehicles

Class 1: Vehicle having two axles and three or four wheels (excluding taxis and buses)

Class 2: Vehicle having two axles and five or six wheels (excluding buses)

Class 3: Vehicle having three axles or more (excluding buses)

For the purpose of calculating the number of axles and wheels of a vehicle, the axles and wheels of any trailer towed by the vehicle shall be included as part of the axles and wheels of the vehicle.

EXEMPTED VEHICLES

1.

Any vehicles carrying the Yang di-Pertuan Agong or the Raja Permaisuri Agong, the Rulers or their consorts, the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of the States of Malacca,

Penang, Sabah and Sarawak or theirs wives, Dato’-Dato’ Undang Negeri Sembilan or the Tengku Besar Tampin or their wives, the Tengku Mahkota or the Raja

Muda of any State or their wives, the Raja Di-Hilir of Perak or his wife, or any visiting foreign dignitary.

2.

Any Government vehicle carrying the Prime Minister or the Deputy Prime

Minister.

3.

All military vehicles belonging to the Government or to any visiting force as defined in the Visiting Forces Act 1960 [Act 432].

4.

All Government vehicles solely engaged in ambulance duties, fire fighting duties, police duties or rescue duties inclusive of rescue team vehicles from the Civil

Defence Department and vehicles from the Prison Department whilst on prisoner’s escort duties.

5.

All vehicles not being Government vehicles solely engaged in ambulance duties, fire-fighting duties and rescue duties.

6.

All three-wheeled or four wheeled motorcycles used by any handicapped person.

7.

Vehicles having two axles and two wheels.”.

The principal Order is amended by deleting the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh

Schedules.
