Pada menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh subseksyen 62(1) Kanun Tanah Negara [Akta 828], Pihak Berkuasa Negeri Pulau Pinang telah merizabkan tanah yang diperihalkan dalam Jadual bagi maksud awam, iaitu suatu tapak untuk kolam tadahan banjir dan telah menetapkan bahawa Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri Pulau Pinang hendaklah mempunyai kawalan terhadap tanah rizab itu dan bahawa tanah rizab itu hendaklah diselenggarakan oleh Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran Pulau Pinang.

In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 62(1) of the National Land Code [Act 828], the State Authority of Penang has reserved the land described in the Schedule for a public purpose, to wit, a site for reservoir and has designated that the State Secretary of Penang shall have control of the reserved land and that the reserved land shall be maintained by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Penang.
