In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 62(1) of the National Land Code [Act 828], the State Authority of Penang has reserved the lands described in the Schedule for a public purpose, to wit, a site for open area and has designated that the State Secretary of Penang shall have control of the reserved lands and that the reserved lands shall be maintained by the Seberang Perai City Council.
