Pada tarikh permulaan kuat kuasa Peraturan-Peraturan ini, mana-mana pengendali berlesen yang mengendalikan atau mengadakan apa-apa perkhidmatan bas ekspres hendaklah, dalam tempoh enam bulan dari tarikh permulaan kuat kuasa
Peraturan-Peraturan ini, mematuhi spesifikasi perkhidmatan bas ekspres mengikut
Peraturan-Peraturan ibu sebagaimana yang dipinda oleh Peraturan-Peraturan ini.

LAND PUBLIC TRANSPORT (PRESCRIPTION OF CATEGORY OF EXPRESS BUS SERVICES)
(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2026
Opening note
These regulations may be cited as the Land Public Transport
(Prescription of Category of Express Bus Services) (Amendment) Regulations 2026.
These Regulations come into operation on 15 June 2026.
Amendment of enacting clause 2.
The Land Public Transport (Prescription of Category of Express Bus Services)
Regulations 2022 [P.U. (A) 206/2022], which are referred to as the “principal Regulations”
in these Regulations, are amended in the enacting clause by substituting for the words
“and (u)” the words “, (tac) and (u)”.
Amendment of Schedule 3.
The principal Regulations are amended by substituting for the Schedule the following schedule:
“SCHEDULE
[Subregulation 2(2)]
SPECIFICATION OF EXPRESS BUS SERVICES
Seating capacity
Not exceeding sixty-seven persons inclusive of the driver, with two seating columns comprising of double seating
Not exceeding sixty-seven persons inclusive of the driver, with at least one seating column comprising of one single seating

Identification mark
The word “EKSPRES EKONOMI/
ECONOMY EXPRESS” shall be displayed on the outside and inside of the entrance door of express bus in the following manner:
Font color: White
The word “EKSPRES EKSEKUTIF/
EXECUTIVE EXPRESS” shall be displayed on the outside and inside of the entrance door of express bus in the following manner:
Length of vehicle
Not less than 10.5 metres and not more than the maximum length for a bus as prescribed in the Motor Vehicles (Construction and Use)
Rules 1959 [L.N. 170/1959]
”.
Transitional 4.
On the date of coming into operation of these Regulations, any licensed operator who operates or provides any express bus service shall, within the period of six months from the date of coming into operation of these Regulations, comply with the specification of express bus services in accordance with the principal Regulations as amended by these Regulations.
