NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 60

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Arms Act 1960 [Act 206], the Minister exempts the Canadian Armed Forces from—

(a)

the application of subsection 3(2) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purpose of training for the MANTIS Exercise Series 10/2024 between the Canadian Armed Forces and the

Malacca provided that the arms licence granted to the

Forces in respect of the arms and ammunition is in force; and

(b)

the application of paragraphs 5(1)(a) and (b) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purposes of the

MANTIS Exercise Series 10/2024 between the Canadian Armed Forces and the Malaysian Armed Forces in Malacca.
