NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 60

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Arms Act 1960 [Act 206], the Minister exempts the United States of America Army Pacific and the Australia Rifle Company Butterworth from—

(a)

the application of subsection 3(2) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purpose of training for the Exercise Keris Strike 2024 between the United States of America

Army Pacific and the Australia Rifle Company Butterworth and the

Malaysian Army in Sabah provided that the arms licence granted to the United States of America Army Pacific and the Australia Rifle

Company Butterworth in respect of the arms and ammunition is in force;

and

(b)

the application of subsection 5(1) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purpose of the Exercise Keris

Strike 2024 between the United States of America Army Pacific and the Australia Rifle Company Butterworth and the Malaysian Army in Sabah.
