Section 26

The defendant may, in any proceedings commenced or brought before any Native

Court, apply to the State Attorney-General for the stoppage or removal of the proceedings and the State Attorney-General may, for reason which he shall record in writing-

(a)

stop the hearing or further hearing of the case before such Native Court on such

terms as he may consider just; or

(b)

direct that the case be heard by the High Court or any Subordinate Court of competent jurisdiction.
