Section 70

Section 70

(1)

No person, except an authorised officer in the course of his duties or a person employed in the fish sanctuary, shall reside in or enter a fish sanctuary, except as provided in subsections (2) and (3).

(2)

Any person may, under the authority of a valid permit, enter such part of a fish sanctuary as may be designated as open to the public.

(3)

The Director may permit any person to enter any part of a fish sanctuary that is not open to the public for the purpose of scientific research for a period and in accordance with the conditions contained in the permit.

(4)

Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit.
