Section 55

When the information referred to in section 54 relates to the commission of a non-seizable offence, the officer to whom it was given shall refer the informant to a Judge of a

Syariah Subordinate Court.

No Religious Enforcement Officer shall, in a case involving a non-seizable offence, exercise any of the special powers in relation to investigations given by this Chapter without the order of the Chief Syar'ie Prosecutor.

Any Religious Enforcement Officer receiving such order may exercise the powers in respect of the investigation given under this Chapter except the power to arrest without warrant.

Admission of certified copy of information as evidence
