Pada menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh subseksyen 3(i) Enakmen Rizab Melayu, Menteri Besar Pahang mengisytiharkan tanah seluas 182.5 hektar (451 ekar), Mukim Pedah, Daerah Jerantut yang ditandakan di atas Pelan Ukur No. P.W. 1680 yang disimpan di Pejabat Pengarah Ukur dan Pemetaan Pahang menjadi Kawasan Simpanan Melayu yang dikenali sebagai Kawasan Simpanan Melayu Putat (Tambahan).
