NOTICE OF INITIATION OF ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW OF ANTI-DUMPING DUTY

WITH REGARD TO IMPORTS OF COLD ROLLED COILS OF IRON OR NON-ALLOY STEEL,

OF WIDTH MORE THAN 1300MM ORIGINATING OR EXPORTED FROM THE PEOPLE’S

REPUBLIC OF CHINA, JAPAN, THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA AND

THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIET NAM

FOLLOWING the publication of the Notice of Impending Termination of the Imposition of

Anti-Dumping Duties on Imports of Cold Rolled Coils of Iron or Non-Alloy Steel, of Width More than 1300mm Originating or Exported from the People’s Republic of China, Japan, the Republic of Korea and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam

[P.U. (B) 227/2024] in the Gazette on 24 June 2024, the Government has received a request for an administrative review on the imposition of anti-dumping duty on the imports of cold rolled coils of iron or non-alloy steel, of width more than 1300mm excluding tin mill black plate and subject merchandise imported for the purposes of automotive and finwall for transformer end usage originating or exported from the People’s Republic of China, Japan, the Republic of Korea and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (“subject merchandise”) and pursuant to subsection 28(6) of the

Countervailing and Anti-Dumping Duties Act 1993 [Act 504] and regulation 34 of the

Countervailing and Anti-Dumping Duties Regulations 1994 [P.U. (A) 233 /1994], the

Government initiates an administrative review on the imposition of anti-dumping duties on the subject merchandise.

Request for administrative review 1.

The request for administrative review was lodged by the following domestic producer in Malaysia for cold rolled coils of iron or non-alloy steel:
