Section 29

of *WILDLIFE CONSERVATION ACT 2010

Section 29

(a)

possess or keep any snare; or

(b)

set, place or use any snare for the purpose of hunting any wildlife.

(2)

Any person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction—

(a)

in relation to an offence under paragraph (a), be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to both; and

(b)

in relation to an offence under paragraph (b), be liable to a fine of not less than fifty thousand ringgit and not more than one hundred thousand ringgit and to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years.

Offspring of totally protected wildlife be deemed protected wildlife
