Section 54

(2)

Where any wildlife has caused serious damage under subsection (1) but has ceased to do so, it shall not be captured or killed.

(3)

The owner or occupier of land shall, without unnecessary delay, report to any officer the details of the occurrence, including the species of the wildlife, the damage and weapon which has been used

(if any) and whether the wildlife has been captured or killed.

(4)

Any owner or occupier of land or servant of owner or occupier of land who contravenes this section commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding ten thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.

(5)

Any wildlife captured or killed under this section shall be the property of the State and shall without delay be handed to an officer.
