(WAIVER OF FEE TO TRAINEE AT ACCREDITED CENTRE) REGULATIONS 2018
IN exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 72(2)(d)
of the
National
Skills
Development
Act 2006
[Act 652], the
Minister makes the following regulations:
Citation and commencement 1.
(1)
These regulations may be cited as the National Skills Development
(Waiver of Fee to Trainee at Accredited Centre) Regulations 2018.
(2)
These
Regulations are deemed to have come into operation on 1 November 2017.
Waiver of fee 2.
(1)
Subject to subregulation (2), the fee prescribed in item 1(a)(i) of the
Second Schedule to the National Skills Development (Fees and Charges)
Regulations 2016 [P.U. (A) 86/2016] is waived in respect of a trainee who applies for the recognition of skills leading to the award of the Malaysian Skills Certificate through the accredited centre as specified in the Schedule.
(2)
The waiver of fee under subregulation (1) applies to the application for the recognition of skills made within the period of three years from 1 November 2017
to 31 October 2020.
