Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 122 of the Development Financial Institutions Act 2002 [Act 618], the Minister, on the recommendation of the Bank, makes the following order: Citation 1. This order may be cited as the Development Financial Institutions (Small Medium Enterprise Development Bank Malaysia Berhad) (Exemption) Order 2014. Exemption 2. The Minister exempts Small Medium Enterprise Development Bank Malaysia Berhad (Company Number: 49572-H), a company incorporated under the Companies Act 1965 [Act 125] and having its registered office at Level 22, Menara SME Bank, Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur, from the application of paragraph 28(3)(b) of the Act in so far as the said provision relates to the granting of credit facilities to SMEB Asset Management Sdn. Bhd. (Company Number: 477170-A) to finance the purchase and transfer of 1108 accounts belonging to 512 borrowers from Small Medium Enterprise Development Bank Malaysia Berhad which have been classified as impaired before June 2010.
